Congestive heart failure is a heart condition that often strikes when the left side of the heart fails and the lungs becomes congested, the congestion may be in pulmonary system / pulmonary congestion or in the systemic system or both. All these happens due to retention of sodium and water by the renal raising the blood volume levels exponentially. Failure of the left side of the heart leaves the right ventricle with overload pumping mechanism. In addition , the lung is left with accumulated water (also called oedema) and if prolonged the condition becomes chronic. Oedema of the lungs makes the interstitial tissue hard and lungs are rendered unable to allow free aeration of gases in its chambers.The result of this is massive congestive heart failure. There are many factors that can lead to congestive heart failure that include; any obstruction of the blood vessels, valves,and or any other heart complication and ailment. treatment of congestive heart failure involves dealing directly with the cause of congestive heart failure.
