HYPERTENSION / HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE (TACHYCARDIA)

Hypertension/High Blood Pressure (Tachycardia)
Hypertension (tachycardia)
High blood pressure is a heart condition associated with increased heart beat above the normal heart beat per minute cycle. A person is said to have hypertension when arterial blood pressure rises above the accepted upper limit of 160/90mmHg of systole and diastole. Normal blood pressure is usually stated as 120/80mmHg.
Hypertension is named the number one slow silent killer disease due to its slow destruction of organs and tissues and painless symptoms that give its victims no hint of trouble. As a result, many patients may stay relaxed with no course for worry and negate vital heart disease diagnosis or treatment.
Types of hypertension
Benign hypertension – it is a mild hypertension that often could be essential or primary of unknown origin. A slight increase in blood pressure could serve as a symptom of another disease or may be the result of environmental exposure. In most cases benign hypertension is regarded as acute.
Malignant hypertension – also termed as chronic and progressive increased blood pressure that may be primary or secondary. Malignant hypertension medication is vital upon the manifestation of the early symptoms.
Causes of hypertension
• Smoking.
• Stress.
• Age.
• Sedentary life style
• Overweight / obese.
• Genetics / race.
Research has shown that certain drugs such as nicotine in tobacco, cocaine and opium have negative effects on arteries by thinning their inner walls and as a result forcing the heart to pump extra hard and rapidly to maintain a steady supply. As a result, victims experience an increase in blood pressure.
Transfatty acids food contain hydrogen introduced during hydrogenation process to solidify fats and when taken in excess clog in the walls of the arteries, hardening them and wasting arteriole elasticity. Low density lipoprotein (bad cholesterol) is essential for enzymes and hormonal production but their intake should be less in comparison with that of high density lipoprotein (good cholesterol). Excess of low density lipoprotein accumulates in the arteries narrowing them and coercing the heart to pump hard.
Obese or overweight individuals are susceptible to hypertension due to increased heart beat to meet the increased demand for blood and oxygen to the enlarged organs and tissues that form this organism.
All living things are bound to senescence. As the body ages, the immune system deteriorates, the first line of defense becomes weak and unable to recognize and fight infection, the body becomes the epitome of many opportunistic diseases, and hypertension is no exemption.
Lack of exercise is a prerequisite to obese that is a health problem associated with many diseases including cardiovascular problems.
Heart complications are more common with African Americans, than white Americans. the situation is well explained by genetics where inheritance could play a predisposing factor to the disease.
